Well I thought I'd give a quick little update, decided to have a proper look at the dashboard tonight as managed to put lcd and pcb together wrong (fixed) so had another little look and low and behold I found some tape covering the airbag warning light took it off, restarted motor and there it is, but only problem is there it stays! When originally turning key which tests the lights it goes off again but then comes back on and stays permantly on. I have attached some photos for you to see, little bit gutted as thought the seller was a genuine bloke. Eyes opened now, so I bet something like this will cost a bob or two to correct

Great bit of work there, some sneaky person tried to deceive you and the MOT tester was in on it00James00 wrote:Well I thought I'd give a quick little update, decided to have a proper look at the dashboard tonight as managed to put lcd and pcb together wrong (fixed) so had another little look and low and behold I found some tape covering the airbag warning light took it off, restarted motor and there it is, but only problem is there it stays!

Yes, but you have found what could have been a serious problem if the air bag had not gone off when it should.00James00 wrote: I have attached some photos for you to see, little bit gutted as thought the seller was a genuine bloke. I think its time for a new topic for the AIR BAG warning light investigation and what will become its fix.
I will flag this up to be moved (if you don't object) and get the 3 beeps separated from the subterfuge Air Bag light problem. (you will get a PM when its all done).
Well done in persisting and finding the problem!! Great work and thanks for the photos.

I would say you've found the source of the 3 beeps - the airbag warning!
Don't panic, airbag faults are not the end of the world, often they are caused by individual igniters going open circuit or loose/poor connections. Sometimes they can be stored codes from silly things like the battery going flat.

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried
