ECU now back, They could not find the fault, they told me they can only check a few things on this ECU, the problem is probably with the processor and they can t help, I have searched Ebay to try to buy a complete set, but no joy, I am 99% sure the ECU is the problem but now, I don't have a clue as to how to fix it, A new ecu is more than the car is worth.
I am going to try an ECU rest later today to see if anything happens,
I am at the stage where I will try anything.

That's disappointing, when I saw you'd posted I was expecting to read ECU returned and fixed and all is well.

Have you thought to try one of the websites for scrap parts? I've used this site successfully in the past clicky - other sites are available :)
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried

I am surprised you can't find an ECU BSI and KEY kit on eBay (here).

This car has been a nightmare, I found a c3 1.4 Sx advertised for spares on ebay, I contacted them and told them I was after the ecu set and gave them all the numbers from the ecu, I got an ebay message £195.00 call this number if required , so I did, The lady told me give me your card details and I will send it out tonight, "great". I gave them my card details, and a week later it arrived, totally the wrong part, I called them and told them to say it was the wrong part , and I had to whats app the picture of mine and the wrong one, I was then told they would send the correct one, after about 10 calls and 2 weeks later still no ecu, I returned the wrong one and sent it TNT signed for, I then lost my temper and told them I want my money back, They said they would do it that day, another week and no money, I then checked my bank to see the date of the transaction, I then find they have taken £252.00, I called them and they told me it was carriage and vat, I was not told of this when I spoke to the original lady. they have told me several times it has been put back in my bank, 2 weeks still no money, I should not have used a debit card, I am now going to get my bank to look in to fraud, as they have taken more money than was agreed, Still have a sick car

That's disappointing.

Have you tried the link on my post above? I've used the service a few times, usually you get more than one quote back to compare and so far all the traders I've used have been straight. The only thing you have to watch is the contact number you get on the quote which is premium rate, it's easy enough to find a direct number.

Hi. I have been having the same problem. I have been in touch with my mate a citroen mechanic. Texted him the problem. He texted back in a matter of seconds injector four and coil pack. He said its a common fault due to water leaking through the sprinkler jets. Ive siliconed mine tight now and ive sent off for a new coil pack. I hope this helps and il let you know if my c3 lives to fight another day as i cant start mine without taking the fuel pump fuse out to push the petrol through then ive had to get my old man to put the fuse back in quick. Weve now relayed a switch to drivers side floor well. What a nightmare.

Hi krisninnis

Your Citroen mate said 'injector four and coil pack'.

its the injector plug/socket on the injector that gets wet and corroded. Its all in here.

You may be looking for a replacement injector too (new parts).

Thanks mate. Changed injectors. The rubbers in injector 2 and 3 were worn. Who ever had fitted them had not lubed them proper. Still not starting so waiting on coil pack. I cleaned what i could on old coil pack but still getting a misfire. Im also going to change the vacuum pump as this doesnt seem to be doing its job.
