Hi , I've recently bought a 2002 c3 1.4i sx auto while driving at about 45/50 mph there was a loud thud, the car jerked as though it had hit something then carried on as normal. any idea's what it could be. thanks

Hello geo-ith, welcome to the forum
There is some information on lexia and obd2 in this topic citroen-c3-tips/lexia-and-obd-diagnosti ... -t655.html
If it was a suspension problem, maybe a broken front spring, you will have to jack the car up, remove the wheel and take a look
If the codes show up errors with engine misfire or gearbox problems you can diagnose further from there, if the spring is broken, you need a pair of springs - try euro car parts
If its an engine related thing, like a misfire, check for codes with an cheap OBD2 reader from eBay, if its was gearbox related, the OBD2 reader won't be useful and you will need the more expensive LEXIA tool to check for error codes.geo-ith wrote:Hi , I've recently bought a 2002 c3 1.4i sx auto while driving at about 45/50 mph there was a loud thud, the car jerked as though it had hit something then carried on as normal. any idea's what it could be. thanks

When my Front Spring Snapped On My Old 2005 C3 Exclusive SensoDrive it made a noise and all the warning lights came on and I did about 10mph back to my house at the end of the street as you could hear the front of the car making the noise and struggling.
