My C3 has the issue that it lacks power sometimes. When driving away from for example from a traffic light, all is good, it is nice and quick as it should be.
But when going uphill and having to press the accelerator pedal a bit more, it lacks power, when i bought the C3 it had no problems with that.
It also stutters slightly, it feels almost like it wants to deliver power but it can't.
Maybe worth mentioning: i checked that spark plugs have to be replaced every 60.000KM/37.000 miles, my C3 now is at 122.000KM/74.500 miles. So it is 2000KM/1200 miles above the change interval. Could this be the cause of my problems?

It would well be worthy of time to take the plugs out, even if just to inspect them.kw1995 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 5:34 pm Hi,

You can tell quite a bit about how the engine has been running recently after removing them and checking the deposits and damage.
They are inexpensive so it may even be worth just changing them seeing as they are past due and yes, they have a finite life and performance will suffer as they wear out.

The lack of power is solved when driving on normaal roads, and fuel consumption seem to have improved.
However when going on A steep hill, it stutters quite a bit. It feels like something can't keep up when the engine is pushed a bit.
I've read that it could have something to do with the ignition coil itself? When replacing the plugs i noticed that one of the 4 coil ends has some white stains on it.
If anyone knows if this might be it, please let me know as i want to resolve this problem within 2 weeks since i'm going on holiday soon ( area with lots of mountains so it will need to run a bit better then )
