Hi all,

This is my first post, and after trawling through the great web, and this forum, I'm trying to locate the EGR valve in the 1.4i 2008 C3 Cachet I have.
The car has flashed up with the anti pollution fault, so wanted to check the EGR…assuming it has one (I've seen replacement EGRs for sale, so assume it has one!).
I have seen other causes of the anti pollution fault (i.e. leaky washer jets) and reckon it's not that.
Any help…or location guidance…would be most appreciated!

Thanks,

John

That message is a bit of a cover all message. A cheap OBD2 reader from ebay would bring up the code that gives the error. With the code from the OBD you can make a better diagnosis of your actual fault or at least point you in the right direction.

Thanks for the advice and link.
I didn't realise OBD readers were so affordable now. Have just ordered one.
Will let you know how I get on.

Hopefully the fault code is something easy to resolve!

Got the diagnostic gear today. (super fast delivery!)
Checked the fault codes, and P0204 came up, Injector Circuit / Open Cylinder 4.

Will do some fault finding to see whether the wiring to the injector is damaged.
I hear that changing injectors can be….troublesome.

Hello john-witney,
How did the diagnosis go?
