Hi there, my 2007 C3 1.4 will sometimes not start. I will try a couple times and won’t start but then apply a little accelerator and will start straight away. It seems to tick over but just won’t start...until I apply the accelerator. If anyone can help me understand what this could be, that would be great!

Many thanks

Hello Adder007

I wrote the post in the second link that Arfur listed. That was over 2.5 years ago. I still have to do the same, and it still runs fine and I've never had any trouble. So, if yours is otherwise fine, then maybe best to just accept it as the way it is.

Doesn't time fly

Thanks for the long-term report MrX. Its encouraging to know that there was no long term problem problem and it saves money by not changing parts :D :D :D

It sure has Arfur, and always a bonus saving time and money!

In those years the car has been passed to my Daughter as her first car, and later this year will move onto my Son once he starts lessons. So it turned out to be a decent purchase, despite a few small niggles (as would have been seen from other posts I made in here).

All the best Arfur.

Thanks for the update, I guess if yours is still running all well and good after 2 1/2 years it can’t be anything too bad!

Cheers,
