Hi, wonder if anyone can help?
I changed the plastic part of the key fob today. Didn't take the battery out and the key locks and unlocks the car as normal. Don't know if that's relevant.
Unfortunately, the car now turns over, but won't start. All other functions of the car work, radio, lights etc.
anyone any ideas?
Do you think the immobolisor is stopping it starting? If so, how do I fix it? As I said, the key fob is unlocking and locking the doors as normal.
Thanks in advance for any info.
Turning over but not starting.

Hi,
Your original key has hidden inside the plastic a small transponder chip which has to be swapped together with the blade and the cicuit board. Without that chip, your car will refuse to start

If you have lost your original, all is not lost as it is possible to program a new one, but it requires a working lexia tool (available here on ebay).
