Hi egorman81, I have never done the exchange myself. I can see SID 802 and SID 804 were both used on the C3 1.4 diesels so I would say there is a high chance it will work, its got to be worth the punt? with the option to sell it on?egorman81 wrote:Hi, can someone tell me if its possible to swap a SID 802 ECU for an SID 804 ECU, it's quite difficult to find a set with SID 802.

You may need to also update the BSI software so it is aware of a later ECU which can be done with a lexia or diagbox tool. Our Lexia information topic is here.

I was looking to swap out the whole set i.e. ECU, BSI, Instrument panel and ignition sensor along with key transponders.
On a side note, does anyone know what detects the central locking ferquency, is it the BSI or will I need something else to allow my remote central locking to work with the new remotes?

You will have everything you need to get the remote locking to work and the immobiliser to deactivate.egorman81 wrote:I was looking to swap out the whole set i.e. ECU, BSI, Instrument panel and ignition sensor along with key transponders.
