Starting problems - Anti-pollution system fault

Hi

I have a C3 picasso 1.6 diesel, registered 2010

When I turn the ignition, there a 3 loud clicking type noises, followed by a message: Anti-pollution system fault. The engine does not start.

Any ideas please? Thanks in advance

Hello

The engine computer has detected an Anti-pollution system fault and that is why you get that message.

Non starting may be due to that fault or may be part of a different problem.


You can diagnose the 'Anti-pollution system fault' with an OBD2 read, or use an OBD2 reader (just like is one on Amazon). From the codes you read, you get more information about the fault that can lead to a solution.
