Hi
Car would not start 3 weeks ago just a little 'click' could be heard on turning the key. All lights worked and I called Green flag guy was there 5 mins got it working but told the wife a wire was broken somewhere and he didn't carry wires. When I got home I checked fuses and the 25amp white one under the bonnet was blown. Changed fuse started and has been starting every time since then. Until this morning! So changed fuse and it's blown again. I know nothing about cars and the only thing I have noticed is that it is not as sharp (if that's the right word) on turning over in the morning as it used to be but it did not labour.
Any ideas, help please

Hi bluetntmo
If you have a damaged or faulty starter solenoid I would expect this fuse to blow at some point.
If you wanted to look at cost of parts, click this like to euro car parts and enter your reg for the right one for your model.
F8 25A Starter motor in the engine bay fuse box appears on the 2006 and later models and it looks like is for the starter solenoid.bluetntmo wrote:When I got home I checked fuses and the 25amp white one under the bonnet was blown

I would ask someone to check the starting circuit. Explain the starter fuse has blown more than once and they would probably advise a new or replacement starter motor and solenoid.bluetntmo wrote:I know nothing about cars and the only thing I have noticed is that it is not as sharp (if that's the right word) on turning over in the morning as it used to be but it did not labour.
And you could mention that the wiring to the solenoid and starter would need looking at it while they are there.bluetntmo wrote:told the wife a wire was broken somewhere and he didn't carry wires.
Bad starter battery or the starter motor can make a sluggish turn over.bluetntmo wrote:he only thing I have noticed is that it is not as sharp (if that's the right word) on turning over in the morning as it used to be but it did not labour.
