Hi everyone,

Great to join C3 owners.com.

I have a 2013 reg C3 Pic, which was my first ever Citroen, thats now approaching 150k miles. The car has performed flawlessly with no major shocks or issues, although i have maintained serviced it meticulously.

I have begun to notice an intermittent whine which I believe is the thrust bearing, noise increases with speed slightly and disappears when the clutch is pressed. There is also the occasional vibration if I pull away quickly in 1st etc.

Now I was led to believe that all 90bhp diesels had a solid mass flywheel. I called my local stealer and they asked said it does have a DMF, I called another and they said no DMF?

After much searching I’m no further forward. I know that I have the DV6TED4 9HP, can anyone help put this one to bed?

I’ve done a little more searching on the SACHS website that make the DMFs and it would appear that the only 90bhp pic fotted with a DMF are the EGS automatics.

This is what the SACHS website quotes;

Citroën C3 Picasso -- [2009-] MPV 1.6 HDI 90 (1560ccm 92HP 68KW Diesel)
Engine Code: 9HP (DV6DTED) | Automated Manual Transmission
Citroën C3 Picasso -- [2009-2016] MPV 1.6 HDI (1560ccm 109HP 80KW Diesel)
Engine Code: 9HZ (DV6TED4)

I’m starting to think the only way I’ll know is when the gear box is out lol - any other input welcome.

Hi

The VIN check says
FLYWHEEL NEW DIAM 291 - 131 DTS VALEO (EMBRAY) -
and the part number is 0532.T2

Which comes back as a Single Mass Flywheel (the solid type)
