Hi guys,
Very recently bought a Picasso C3 on a 52 plate. It is a 2.0HDi version. The last few mornings it has been really hard to start, and on one of those days I pretty much discharged the battery in the process. The worry is that we have only dropped to +1 or 0 round here, dread to think what it will be like when it gets cold. I am assuming the glow plugs may need changing, (only guessing as I don't normally do diesel - just come from a 3.0 Jag). Any advise or guidance would be appreciated. I love the C3 but I do need to be able to start it. I am not very tech minded but will give anything a go. HELP! :?

Welcome to the forum thecathouse.

I don't see a 2L HDI C3 Picasso listed, but there is a 2L HDI XSARA PICASSO :)

Unfortunately I don't have any information on that 2.0L engine, but if its got the common rail system, a faulty injector (leaking) is more likely than faulty glow plugs causing poor starting. High leakoff of the injector will inhibit starting as will slow starter turning speed. Faulty glow plugs won't inhibit starting at -1 c

Testing for excessive leak-off of the injectors; https://citroenc3owners.com/diesel-citro ... -t901.html

Yes. Its the same type of common rail system in the HDi by PSA as in other HDi models. The 2.0 HDi is DW10. So I would suggest glow plugs are not your problem.
