Hi, new to group. My C3 has started playing up. Revs are staying high when in 4th or 5th and not dropping down for a while or until I brake. It feels like engine torque has increased and wants me to change up a lot quicker than I used to.

Hi, I'm only the second owner one previous lady. I've had 6 years with no.probs at all. Drives fine apart from this. If anything maybe getting more mpg.

Has any servicing been done in those 6 years?
Is it one of those cars that just gets driven until it breaks or does it get any sort of regular maintenance? Oil changes, fuel filter etc....
I can't suggest anything specific with that fault, other than maybe an injector fault or fuel system problem.
Other than that, is it a car problem? not something like the drivers may affecting the pedal operation or the choice of footwear?
You are not setting the cruise control accidentally? (is that even a thing?).
