Hi,
I went to out to the car this morning and found that it wouldn't start.
Then engine fan came on and went into overdrive. It is also showing one bar of the temp gauge and ECO Mode on the console display.
Then when I turn the ignition key to 1, I get a flashing battery light.
We had a heavy downpour overnight and some water may have got onto the electronics.
I've put it on my Lexia and the global test says that the BSI has a problem.
I've tried to reset the BSI but the problems still persists.
It did start up once and ran for a while. But then it cut out and started to do the same.
I don't know why the engine cooling fan is coming on with the ignition and showing that the engine is warm.
Any ideas, I really need some help here.
I have this fault from the ECU (Communication fault between the built in systems interface (BSI) and the ECUs on the COMFORT VAN)
Also I have noticed
BSI matched to ECU = Yes
BSI ready for programming = No
Confidential key memorized = yes
Key 1 synchronised = No
Engine ECU locked = yes
Problem starting ECO Mode and enging cooling fan coming on

You could try drying out the affected electronics otherwise you may just be going around in circles trying to find faults. We had a heavy downpour overnight and some water may have got onto the electronics.
Are all your plastic covers for the engine fuse box and engine ECU all fitted correctly? Have you checked the BSI is dry?
This is ECO mode, a power saving timer that disables various power circuits until the car is started to save draining the battery. The ECO mode will clear when the engine is started.midiman wrote:Then when I turn the ignition key to 1, I get a flashing battery light.
You can get these sort of odd things going on if circuits are shorted out by watermidiman wrote:I don't know why the engine cooling fan is coming on with the ignition and showing that the engine is warm.

These are engine ECU problems.
