Picasso 1.6 16V EGR valve position

Hi all - was thinking of fitting a EGR blanking plate to our 16V 1.6 diesel C3 picasso but cannot find it! I see the corrugated pipe that goes into the inlet upstream of the inlet manifold on the rear LHS of the engine but I an unable to fit my hand to follow the pipe to the valve. How do I get to the valve? I have taken off the air cleaner pipe just above what I assume is the fuel filter above the gearbox but still can't find it.

If its like the C3 16v 1.4 diesel, then this topic may help you find it.
