part number required

citroen c3 picasso 11plate has an error code of p0606 i have been told its a regular know problem and it`s the steering rack pump.i have found a pump and the seller says it is compatible ,can anyone clarify as i do not want to buy the part if incorrect on my pump it says Q03TA0873ZE , on his it says Q003TA0874ZE

The C3 Picasso doesn't have a power steering pump. It is an electronic system (ePAS).

P0606 is an ECM - Electronic control module fault - a generic code that doesn't tell you very much by itself.

Picking codes and matching them to a fault is very prone to expensive mistakes because that is not how fault codes work.

You don't mention any usability issues with the ePAS, which also makes me think you don't have a power steering problem. because everyone else says 'no power steering' for the C3 when there is a power steering problem.

ok ,i understand its electric (just didnt know what it was called),i had a problem where dash lit up power steering fault twice in 3 weeks and no ePAS, did a 3 key turn and all good.3/4 days ago it came on permanently and now i have NO ePAS and a car i cant drive.took it to a garage that had it on his computer and showed my the fault which was p0606 power steering fault Internal Failure permanant(i think)on his computer.he said it needs new motor,hence my original question ,hope this sheds a better light on the subject,also i have been all over the forums and its quite common problem on 11 plates most people have had this issue repaired by changing this part

Yes. You can swap 73ZE for 74ZE

C3CAR many thanks for your reply,i thank you greatly ,i know its going to be an expensive fix but being a key worker in this turbulent time im going to have to bite the bullet ,after reading forums for 3 days this is at least a way forward.i will order part and hope this fixes my problem.although any other help that may make my fix cheaper is always welcome.many thanks once again
