Hi,
I have a P0183 error code from the ECU on a 2002 C3 with the 1.4HDI
PERMANENT FAULT: DIESEL TEMPERATURE SIGNAL SHORT CIRCUIT TO + OR OPEN CIRCUIT
DIESEL TEMPERATURE: -50c
I've looked on the SEDRE app to try and locate where the sensor/wiring is located but can't find it. I'm thinking it could be integrated into some other piece of equipment (such as the pressure sensor?).
Any idea where the sensor is on the car (Fuel tank? Engine bay?)
And if the issue will impact the running of the engine significantly?
Cheers for the help

OK.
Managed to resolve this. For reference:
I've attached a photo showing the location of the fuel temp sensor. It is under the circled area. The connector has a red plug, and the sensor looks like it is part of the fuel send line.
I had done a timing belt change earlier in the week, and it looks like the plug had lost its connection when I was jostling the upper timing belt cover off (the sensor plug connection on mine seems really poor - I don't even have to press the tab to unplug in.).
DiagBox is now reporting 31c temp instead of -50.
I'm happy its fixed, because it seems really difficult to find that sensor for sale anywhere. Seems otherpeople get the entire fuel line, including sensor, from a breakers.
