Hi,
Driving home from work today in the snow & the car beeped at me & on the incar display said something along the lines of stop engine oil pressure & the oil pressure light was on. Couldn't find anywhere to stop & was only 1/2 mile from home so gently took the car home. I've checked the oil & it still has 2/3 on the dip stick. It has been using a bit recently though (possibly caused by me holding the engine up on the sump while rebuilding the gearbox & causing the sump sealant to leak) Any way Lexia reports back loads of error (625), a lot for my rear brake light but many for oil pressure, most recent were:
F4C4 (engine oil pressure) once but mainly F406 (engine oil pressure sensor)
I replaced the engine oil pressure sensor back in 2018 when the car kept cutting out & throwing up a lot of error codes including F4C4.
Thought? Another new oil sensor? If I clear the faults & run the car I get no warnings on the dash but if I look on Lexia I see appearance & disappearances for F406 (engine oil pressure sensor).
Finally, I found a lot of oil in the turbo & pipework. Is that normal? Also if I try to turn the turbo it isn't as free as I would expect (not knowing a lot about them). If I push in the shaft & then turn I certainly feel some friction!
Thanks for any help.....I've had to borrow the old git's 1.2 54 plate Corsa at the moment. Primative!

Hold the turbo nut between finger and thumb and see if it can be moved up and down or side to side.
Does it rub/drag on the casing when moved up or down and rotated?
The turbo should be quite easy to turn, it has the exhaust vanes on the other side, that's all.
'a lot of oil' how much is a lot?
You can attach pictures if you think they may help.
You can also attach the lexia screen shots which saves a lot of typing.
You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel

This may post before the other one as it doesn't contain a picture & doesn't need approval. Anyway. Play checked....not too sure on tht one. I can run the turbo up ok using compressed air on the air side. I have taken all the intake piping off & the oil wasn't that bad. Yes made rags oily but wiped away eay enough and say a tablespoon or two of oil.
I guess I change the oil snesor & see what happens. I assume there is only one & its wedged between the alternator & the front heat shield. I assume I will not lose any oil when I change it. i.e. I do not need to drain the oil. I have a feeling I may have knocked it about 6,000 miles ago when I redid the gearbox....

Fingers crossed... I may have fixed it. The oil sensor was leaking oil ino the connector & was all oily around it. New one fitted & no new errors in the log so far. Even managed to repalce it without taking the cat off but it was bloody fiddly
