Hi how is things. Hope you are having a happy Christmas. I have not had any problems that I noticed since the swap out of the fuse box. However recently I noticed that the wiper washer stopped working and never thought nothing of it. Until yesterday when I tried to start the car and I did nothing. No crank no click. It was dead. I checked to see the starter motor fuse and it had blown. The light on dashboard was on though when I turned the key to ignition point. Bug when tried to start it, it was dead. I replaced the starter motor fuse and it started the car again. Then I drove to another shop and when I tried to start the car again. It was dead. I took out the starter motor fuse and swapped for another. The fuse never looked like it was fused but I changed it anyway. Then the car started again. Is there any help or information you can give me. Thanks

Hi
I think you have a fault on the starter/solenoid that keeps blowing the starter fuse.

Oh dear, would that suggest a new starter motor? The car has done 118,000 miles dorsal car.

Yes, new starter is easier than repairing your existing. But its more expensive. It depends on your need for cost savings vs how much time and skill you want to throw at it.
I would just fit a new one because time off the road is not good for me.
