a bit of history. 1.4hdi diesel C3 2009. Was having the anti-pollution light warning and then engine cutting out, thats a bit scary on the M1 at night in the rain and no hard shoulder. I did the obvious (to me any way ) and had a new EGR valve fitted performance and MPG has improved but last week I drove the 180 miles to see my son and no problem on the way back after about 90 miles it cut out twice (not even a limp mode to help)within about 12 miles, of course in road works with no hard shoulder.almost forgot to add the only way it will restart is if the car is stationary. I have been to my local Citroen dealer and got them to print out any faults and clear any they can. The engine management light came back on after about 2 miles. any one help give me an idea what I may need to replace next. fault codes below
EDC16C34_DV4
Permanent fault
Preheating relay circuit relay supplied and plugs never supplied
Permanent fault
Inlet air temperature sensor signal(flowmeter)open circuit or short circuit to positive
Permanent fault
Flowmeter signal open circuit, short circuit to positive or earth of the sensor supply or signal.
hope this makes sense to some one last time I worked on cars I was making gaskets out of cereal packets and cleaning points with the wife's nail file
new egr valve but still anti pollution warming and cutting out

Hi ku59evd,
For your codes, ignore the first, they all do that at some point and it doesn't affect the engine.
Two and Three are the MAF, and are probably not your problem. But if you wanted to see if they are responsible for giving a poor driving experience like poor acceleration, low torque etc, then disconnect the MAF sensor and drive it again. If the car drives better with it disconnected then clean the MAF and reconnect it.
I wouldn't change a EGR without an EGR code, the furthest I would go is to blank the EGR off temporarily to see how it goes. Otherwise it can get very expensive with no ultimate fix.
Without a code that reflects the fault, maybe you have a major electrical power problem like a loose battery connection or something similar causing the electrical power to disappear temporarily.
Location of the MAF on a 16v C3 HDi, similar to the 8V. The connector is under the engine cover on this one.

Thanks for the reply I'll check out the maf but the driving experience is great it's the problem of the intermittent cutting out after the anti pollution warning comes on

There are no anti-pollution faults logged, so I suspect this:
