I have been told that the excessive conaumption I experience during accelleration could be caused by a faulty intake airpressure sensor. Is it possible to clan this sensor or is it a "must replace" ?

If you disconnect the maf electrical plug and drive the car, how all does it drive compared to how it used to drive.
MAF is the Manifold Air Flo sensor. Its on the top of the engine and near the battery. Its is situated on the intake pipes.
