Hi all!

Yesterday me and my girlfriend bought a 2006 HDI 70, it has 120.000KM on the road.

After 50Km driving we started to smell diesel in teh car, after some searching, I found that it seems to be the seal to injector 1.

I`m trying to remove the injector but how much do i need to remove? really ?! i`m afraid that I cant fit it togheter again and all people around is harrasing me for bying cars that don`t works. :(

The procedure for the 16v Diesel engine injector seal is here: https://citroenc3owners.com/diesel-c3-ti ... l-t12.html, which may give you some pointers, and the C3 Haynes manual comes as a recommended read for these sorts of jobs with clear pictures and detailed descriptions.

To remove a diesel injector, you need to remove at least, the electrical connection, the fuel connection and the injector clamp assembly.

You can see the electrical and the fuel connections on the injector in the picture

Guys, i would love some help here.

I bought the manual from Haynes, But it`s not so clear how to remove the injector.

I now have them free, i removed cylinder head cover and all the other things but i`m stuck in the fuel injector clamp dissamsembly stage.

I have only removed 1 bolt to the clamp, and the fuel lines, but its stuck as h#ll. I think it`s one more bolt to remove? or is it only one?

How do i loosen the fuel injector then? Hayens doesn`t help me here anymore.

Please, I would be so ashamed if i couldent fix this.

Sorry for my bad english!

There is only one bolt on the injector clamp. Haynes clearly shows one clamp bolt in picture 10.4a in the blue book.

You took off the electrical connection, the fuel supply (use 2 spanners), the leak off (unclips) and the one bolt for the clamp, removed the clamp and rescued the clamp dowel (if it came out with the clamp).

Haynes says 'carefully pull or lever the injector from its location', which is what you need to do. You can try some Plusgas sprayed and left to soak for hours down the sides of the injector so it gets between the head and the injector. Don't pull or lever on the solenoid (electrical part) because that's only plastic and easily broken.

Thank you Arfur,

Yes, I`m aware about the illustration but i still can`t remove the clamp, How do i loosen the clamp if its stuck? push it upwards or to the side? I`m not aware of how it`s conected and so on.

Lever means that i push it from side to side ?

can i use WD-40 or 5-56 as a aerosol spray and leavi it over the night ? or is it bad to use this lubricant?

Thanks for answer.

PS. Why is my IP alwas blocked?!?

Sorry, I thought it was the injector that was stuck. Just lever the clamp off with a screwdriver or a similar flat bladed item. Its probably stuck on the dowel, lever up on the opposite side of the injector or where the bolt was.

Lift it up by putting something under it, see the wikipedia for Lever

The clamp is connected to a dowel at one end, a bolt in the middle and its seated into a notch in the injector at the other.

Its not bad, everything helps, overnight is good.
