Hi cwrtcoed

Well, its been one week, what are your thoughts?

My thoughts are:
He states that it must be the inj because he gets a pulse to the original ones but they wont open
Well, its either the injectors is not opening, which could well be the case, or there is no fuel at the injector which gives similar symptom to the injector not opening (no fuel injected). Considering the system has been completely stripped down, I assume that the system has been primed. A leak-off test will show fuel at the injectors and if the injectors are opening.

Just an update on mine:

Had the 3 fault codes, cyl 4 Acyclism, Open circuit No4 Injector and pre/post relay fault.

The fix - Brand new ECU from Citroen £960 fitted and coded inc VAT. Fixed the problem.

I had a reconditioned ECU from AUTOTEK of Bournemouth, cost £400. Worked for 20 miles, then faults came back. I sent it back for testing and they said all was fine. It then worked for another 20 miles and fault returned. They were adamant that the fault was with the car, perhaps wiring. All wiring was fine. I am now struggling to get my money back.

My advice - Find a decent main dealer and get them to agree to a specified level of diagnostics and get Citroen UK involved if required. You will then have come back.

Any way, get it out of where it is now.

just a quick update, mechanic bought recon injectors £900 gasp, fitted em on and the fuel comes out but not as much as it should be, he had the injectors tested incase they were faulty but came back ok, mechanic has said there may be a broken circuit somewhere along the loom, hes positive now that he is getting close to sorting this problem out ( what after twelve frigging months) there is a signal of some kind coming from the ecu to the inj but i cant remember if he said that it comes on for a few seconds then dies off,im gona contact guiness book of records. keep you posted
