There is no fuse or relay in the starter circuit on a C3, the solenoid is the closest thing by function, to a relay.

hi... isn't there a fuse in the engine bay fusebox...I have a 1.4Hdi 2007...
Starting problems about a year ago were cured by removal of blown
25A fuse there.
IIRC the handbook specified 20A, but I replaced as found.
Subsequent research suggested that 25A may have been factory fitted.
Recent erratic starting made me check by replacing that fuse again but
this time no cure..leading to suspect starter motor.. :?:

Hi alsee3

Question was about a 2002 which is listed as 'F8 20A Engine control relay, EPS, (blower fan/supply on some) - timed supply cutoff.' which is probably a bit more of a better description than the 2006 description as 'starter motor'. There is no fuse for just the starter motor shown on the diagrams but some fuses can knock out ignition supply to the solenoid. MAXI FUSE 7 looks like a good candidate for this too.
