I have a 52 plate hdi 1.4 16v and hadthe leaking injector sound on injector 4.
I purchased the new washer and crowfoot spanner.
I sucessfully removed the bleed pipes, injectors electrics and plugged all 4 injectors.
Ground away a little of the inlet manifold and removed the injector to find the washer was indeed oval and made a bit of a mess around injector 4. I also removed the rocker cover for better access when cleaning the mess.
I left the end of the injector resting in cleaner overnight to losen the carbon and cleaned it gently with a rag.
On replacement, I torque to 17lbf and 18lbf on the fuel ine and injector clamp nuts respectfully.
I cleared the lexia of all faults, cross my fingers and turned the key.
The engine started......and died 5 seconds later.
Then the engine just turned over with no attempt to start and then the esp light lit up.
Checking under the bonnet I have no fuel leaks anywhere.
Checking lexia, the P1207 error with some message about cohesive pressure.
Check the reading on lexia I have only 10 bar on the common rail.
What have I done to cause this. The injector was working fine before I rmoved and cleaned it.
Is there a sensor wire I have disturbed?
The battery light also flashed, so I have put the battery on charge until tomorrow.
Many thanks for any advice
HM

Hi housemartin
A quick way is to just screen grab with ALT and PRT SC (or ALT and PRT SCR) and then open paint and paste into a new image. Save the image as a jpg and then attach it to your post
But at least you have the chance to check the electrolyte levels in your battery and top-up as necessary with de-ionised water (this stuff).
This is the really useful bit, can you grab the full description?Checking lexia, the P1207 error with some message about cohesive pressure.

While cranking?Check the reading on lexia I have only 10 bar on the common rail.
ECO MODE, not battery drained. You will still have the flashing battery light after refitting the battery. ECO MODE is cleared by starting the engine.......The battery light also flashed, so I have put the battery on charge until tomorrow.

Hi sorry for the delay my internet has been down
Yes, good idea, I topped up the battery levels with distilled.
The error message was
Permanent fault p1207
Diesel high pressure regulation circuit rail pressure coherence when starting.
Which when translated into a useful message means
You idiot you forgot to prime the fuel pump using the hand pump above the air filter housing.
Needless to say the car started again and is now running fine with the new washer.
Next job is to replace the cam belt
Thanks for the feedback
