Ok I've even doing a bit of work, servicing and the likes on my C3. I've discovered the hand primer (long thin type, not the usual bulb type) has had a hole worn in it at some point. It's made air in the system and difficult staring a couple of times now. Usually I'd look at replacing the bulb to get rid of the problem.
Unfortunately being French it's not that simple. It seems the engine fuel system comes as a Harness assembly, and the primer is integrated into this. Has anyone figured a cost effective way of replacing the priming pump?
A new harness on eBay seems to cost about £100 and I'm not convinced I needed to replace the rest of the setup for just the primer.
Hand primer. 1.4 16v HDi

Not me, but you could try patching the hole? There are a lot of specialist products out there designed for specific plastics that may fit your need if you can identify the material. Look a marking on the assembly that can identify its material.SpudGun wrote: ↑Mon Jan 21, 2019 11:33 am Ok I've even doing a bit of work, servicing and the likes on my C3. You could also try cutting out and replacing the part with the hole. If you can find the hole, you can then determine which bit can be cut away and replaced. If it is the bulb itself, something like this Fuel Pump Hand Primer Bulb for Diesel (on Amazon) could do the job it is designed for.

Yes that's the beastie. The primer rubbed on something or other in its history pre me owning it. So there's a hike about the size of a match head in the primer body.
Bit worried about cutting into the fuel line to replace it in case there's a miss match in diameters and it doesn't fit.

The Citroen C3 diesel hand priming pump assembly is part of a bigger collection of pipes.
