Its not as simple as checking a dipstick.Hey guy can anyone tell me how i can check if my gearbox has enough oil? its a manual gearbox on a 2006 1.4 8v HDi
There re two bolts on the end of the gearbox, the upper one is the level plug and the lower down (closer to the ground) one is the drain plug.
To check the level, remove the level plug bolt and add some gearbox oil, when the oil stops trickling out you have reached full.
Refit the level plug bolt and its job done.
This is the correct manual gearbox oil.
Its is Total BV 75W80 Transmission Manual Gear Box Oil.
