Hi folks, hoping someone can help me as I'm in a pickle.
I was trying to install a radio in my 2005 C3 Desire and I've managed to short out the constant yellow to the a ground. Now I can't get the radio to work, the central locking won't work from the key or from the door lock (the button on the dash works though) but most annoyingly the engine is turning over but won't fire up.
I've checked all the fuses under the hood, including the maxi fuses and they are all fine. I've tried the BSI reset and key fob reset but no luck. I'm thinking I've fried the BSI but was wondering if anyone has any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Did you also check the BSI fuses?

Hi C3CARs. I ran out of time and only checked the ones that I thought were relevant. I'll get them all out tomorrow and yest them properly with a multimeter.

I forgot to mention, after I shorted the wire, the front wipers came on every time I tried the ignition even though the stalk controller was in the off position. The BSI reset cleared this error at least.

The BSI controls the central locking, radio supplies (both) and is one half of the immobiliser.

But I can't see a common fuse :(

Hi folk. Crisis averted. Fuse 4 (20 amp second from left on BSI) was blown, I missed it first time around. Popped a new one in and everything is fine, central locking, engine running the lot. Thanks for the feed back.
