Recently on my 04 C3 diesel 1.4 I have had the engine temperature running gauge on the dash taking a long time to hit three bars. Then when she is at three bars, she will then swap from three to two and then back a bit.
She never took this long to reach three bars on the gage before.
Is this a sign of the temperature sensor going?

Sounds like the thermostat is stuck open.

Thanks, I was thinking something along that line. Is it a big job to change or can a armature mechanic do it?

It would be good to replace it myself and cut down on some of the costs as I have spent a great deal on her this year, far more than what she is worth now
