Hi I hope someone cN advise me here. I bought a c3 in March from a car dealer. Within a mile of the garage the engine management light came on. By this time they had closed for the day I had waited over 7 hours in their office for the car as they said they only realised that morning the mot had expired. They have pretty much ignored me ever since. It's been on the diagnostic machine many times. My local service centre advised new fuel filter. That hasn't stopped the problem. It only gets to about 1500 revs then seems to die. Yesterday during a 2 mile drive it died 4 times but was fine driving back a few hours later. When I saw the advert it stated fsh. When I did get to look through the paperwork I can only see 1 stamp although receipts for thousands in repairs. I really don't know what to do next any advice would be appreciated.

Is it a diesel? as the topic suggests, or a petrol as the information you gave when registered states?
If you have bought a dud and you don't want to repair it, my advice would be to talk to your local trading standards or CAB to get advice about returning it and getting your money (or some of it) back.

Hi it's a diesel. Have been in contact with trading standards. Actually got to speak to trader today, promised to call me back but he hasn't no shock there!

Let us know how you get on with getting a refund/partial refund and if you would like some advice on how to diagnose the problem yourself and the tools you will need to do this, there is plenty of help on the forumMaggie wrote:Hi it's a diesel. Thank you, going to go to citizens advice tomorrow, it's a shame as I really like the car but just can't afford to keep chucking money at it
