hello all I'm from France

I have a Citroen C3 2005 HDI engine 1.4 16v and I have a problem that appears only at the speed of 115 km / h, on road who's going up... steady speed, the engine fault light appears...

The fault code is P1160... Since few days i tedst many things... And tonight i have tester to disconnect the MAF sensor ...

MAF sensor disconnected, tested the same road at the same speed : no fault light...

Can you confirm me that i have a problem with my MAF sensor ? (No fault light comes with MAF disconnected)

Thank you and sorry for my bad english...

Disconnecting the MAF forces the ECU to use default values. If disconnecting the MAF clears the problem, its usual to suspect the MAF is faulty.

If you wanted to dig a bit deeper before buying a new MAF, you can use Lexia to gather live data while you drive up to speed and see what the MAF is reading.
