Hello all, I have a problem with my 2009 diesel citroen c3. its done 73000 miles and relativly recently brought from a garage.
I have a warrenty on it but i would like some help in identifying the possibly solutions for the problem i am about to describe:
so the car seems to randomly loose power, doesnt seem to matter if the engine is hot or cold or the speed i am going - its happened at 10 mph and 70 mph and a fair few in between. First the car seems to loose power then i get a warning light on the dash. 9 times out of 10 this is the anti pollution warning, this is normally followed by the oil pressure warning (oil levels seem to be fine - ive checked), very occassionally i then get a message saying anti pollution faulty.
Ive taken it to my local garage and they have ran a diagnostic - codes that came up were P2299 (brake switch) P0606 (control madule fault) and P0483 (coolant fan).
Does anyone know if all three codes are likely to be related? And if so/if not how much it would cost to get them fixed if they are not covered under the warrenty?
thanks

Welcome to the forum tarasian,
Other options are a repair to the ECU and then fix the other faults.
Your P0606 is an ECU faulttarasian wrote:Ive taken it to my local garage and they have ran a diagnostic - codes that came up were P2299 (brake switch) P0606 (control madule fault) and P0483 (coolant fan).
P2299 and P0483 are faults for parts connected to the ECU, so they are linked by the fact they are all connected to the (reportedly) faulty ECU.tarasian wrote:Does anyone know if all three codes are likely to be related?
New ECU is around the £800-£1000 mark fitted and programmed by the main dealer, then you have the other issues to solver too.tarasian wrote:And if so/if not how much it would cost to get them fixed if they are not covered under the warrenty?

I would take it back ASAP and reject it of you can, the sooner you return the car, the sooner things can get it sorted out.tarasian wrote:its done 73000 miles and relatively recently brought from a garage.

thanks. the ECU should be covered by the warrenty, i'll call them in the morning and take it from there. Im relucant to take it back to the original garage laregly because I live some distance away from it and need the car for work. I also rather like the car so if its repairable under warrenty then that will be my preferred option.
