Hello,

My C3 computer keeps flashing up "Electric circuit faulty" every now and then and the battery light stay lit up afterwards.

I pull over turn engine off and on again and it goes away.

Does anyone know what this is?

Maybe altenator?

Thanks Lee

I would be looking at the regulator/alternator side of things as you suggest.

You may find this only happens when the alternator is being worked hard (lights on, rear heater, wipers).

Are there many miles on the clock?

Does the alternator drive belt squeal?

Sounds like alternator type of problem, but its quite a low mileage for an alternator to fail.

Maybe you notice it in the morning after rain in the night? -
Could suggest some insulation in the alternator breaking down.

First thing in the morning the alternator is trying to recharge the battery (after the battery has started the car) while also powering the demisting/heating fans and powering the headlights, probably the most stressful time for the alternator.
