Been having a few problems, power was getting lower so replaced the maf, now the turbo won't hardly spool at all.
I get a cel when the engine is hot on idle, and the revs dip a bit and the engine sounds rougher.
Would this be a fault with the egr system, i've blanked it off but have been told alloy ones can burn through?
I have a pp/lexia at home i'm guessing it's a case of inatalling and plugging it in?

Hi Huxley309, its a quick job to remove the EGR blanking plate for inspection. They are cheap to buy in steel, so it may pay to order one up and on the day it arrives, remove yours for inspection and if its failed fit the steel one.

Find a steel EGR blanking plate for a Citroen C3 from this eBay list for sale.

This would be more beneficial than blanking off the EGR vacuum pipe or disconnecting the electrical connector.

Yes, install it following the instructions in the read.me or whatever readme instructions come with the files, do what they say and plug it in and read codes. There is a lexia topic here (lexia topic). You will need extra software to install on Win7 64bit.

Screen capture the codes and save them for later reference because you will be deleting codes as you go. Attach the screen grabs via the 'Browse' and 'Add the file' options below.

Lexia would be good at diagnosing the fault :)

Well it's certainly not the maf, oe spec made little difference.

I suspect it's the egr, at times it feels like it wants to go but holds back, could simply be gummed up.

Got diagbox 1.65 running but im guessing it's lexia for my c3.

All from xp of course.

You can easily blank off the EGR with a cheap EGR blank (click here - ebay), very cheap part.

Yes, diagbox will boot up lexia for your C3.

The easiest route to lexia. Did you get any codes, looked at the live data?

Nah only got it working last night, took a while as the lappy is geared up for vista.
Haven't had a cel since the new maf.

Something tells me the egr is gummed up but still working, hence why the turbo isn't spooling much.

Either way lexia will point me in the right direction.
I have another blanking plate, juat incase my current one is playing up.

Ok got the fault codes

P1206
P0102
P0112
P0238
P1163

That's the full history of course, haven't had the car throw a cel since the new afm.

Did a wipe and the P0102 still remains, voltage looks good at 13.67v

Ok sussed it, turbo pipe came off yet again put it on and car drives a bit better.

See what it's like once the ecu has settled.

Good stuff. Thanks for the update.

You can get a lot more information other than just the P code with the lexia and its easy to screen capture to attach to the topic :)

Well car is still slow. So must be the connector or god forbid the ecu.
