egr blanking plate?

i have a C3 1.4 HDI 8v from 2010

i would like to stop the egr system from working because i know i will only give problems sooner or later...

Have heard about people put a blanking plate under the egr valve so it cant send exhaust return !

Can any on this forum give me information if this is possible on my car WITHOUT i get warninglights og messages?
