Good day guys.
I am new to this.
I am having a hard time figuring out how to get my citroen c3 1.4 hdi face lift running normal again. At first i could get it started with a bump start, then pulling it to start. Sometimes it wil start with the key aswell. But as soon as its started it runs and does not die. I change the fuel filter. And it has a new starter. Not sure what this could be, hooe someone can help me.
Thanks

Hi

You can start it with a bump and sometimes on the key (after it's been bumped?)

It runs and idles well after started?

It sounds like a faulty battery.
You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel :)

Hi. Thanks for the reply.
Not sure if its the battery i charge it full and the when the starter turns you can hear that there is enough power.
Sometimes i can bump it to start, sometimes it does not want to start at all. Then leave it for a few minute and it MIGHT start. I dont know if its my cranck sensor as my plug for this sensor use to not make nice contact. Then the car would have problems drinving. And if i get out and wiggle the pluggie it wil run fine again.

Hi

Crank sensor will throw a code and inhibit starting.

If there is any question about the performance of the crank sensor, just change it.

Not the easiest to do, but you can check the condition of the TVD at the same time.

If you can't change the sensor, for whatever reason, at least try cleaning the electrical contacts as seen in this topic - Citroen C3 1.4 HDi engine occasional 'missfire' P0129 and P0339

See if you can wobble the TVD before you take it off.

The thing can get all loose and eventually knock as it rotates when it gets really bad.

You will probably have to get the TVD off to get a good access to the crank sensor mounting nut.
