Hello All,

2009 Citroen C1 1.3HDi VTR

First of all apologies for hijacking a C3 forum with this problem, but there are very few Diesel C1's and their forum recommended I try a forum for C3's as they are more popular.

I am currently experiencing a Diesel misfire on the above car, it can happen at idle or under acceleration. There are no fault codes logged, so I am ruling out electrical or injector faults.

The car always starts and does not cut out while driving or coming up to junctions.

Has anyone experienced similar problems or possibly air entering the fuel system? Just looking for a few pointers. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Can you post or reply and then PM the VIN

I think we need to know for sure which engine you have.

Mine had a time of a misfire, nothing major, at tickover. Tickover wasn't as smooth on the 1.4 16v HDi and a double dose of millers in the tank cured it.

There is an urgent dealer recall for work to be done on this VIN.

It would be best to contact a Citroen dealer with the VIN you gave to find out what it is. You never know, it may be connected to the fault you have.

The recall concerns fixings for the rear tailgate and there is no local Citroen dealer.
