Hello

If you are looking for a 'least cost' solution, as suggested by you request to find a used starter motor, then I would first suggest a repair.

You can often replace the worn parts in the starter - or at least check they are worn before replacing.

Have a look at our Citroen C3 starter motor strip down post. The petrol starter and diesel starter all work in the same way and have very similar parts.

There are also topics showing you how to repair the Citroen C3 starter solenoid

Repairing your existing unit can bring it up to a refurbished level, much better than a second hand, worn out, used item.

Look up D6RA110 starter motor on ebay.

Note that your starter has a very triangular shaped mounting flange. So that should sort it from ring-ins.
If you do decide to get a new or second hand starter, pull the locating dowel out of the flange of yours. The "other" starter may not come with one.

Where there any symptoms? Did it click but not start. Make absolutely no noise at all?

There are 3 main modes of failure. Burnt out contacts in the solenoid, worn carbon brushes, destroyed planetary gearbox.
