Hi guys, after having fixed (or the car magically fixing itself) the heater blower fan i'm now moving onto the next issue I have. My cylinder no.4 leak off pipe is leaking. I can tell its this as when i use the hand primer to get the pressure up it starts to bubble at the leak off point so i know the connection here is weak.
It may be a worn clip (the black V part that clips around the injector) however I have another situation that I have noticed some time ago and that is the electrical rail that connects all the injector activator ports has some damage to it. I've attached a picture so you can see what i mean. I was wondering if this could be causing the injector to malfunction and therefor cause excessive leak off from the leak off pipe? If this is normal and doesn't cause any faults then thats fine but it looks pretty foobarred to me.
Many thanks in anticipation of your replies guys and gals.

There is an o-ring on the end of the leak-off connector that seals inside the injector. You can get replacement parts like these for the C3 delphi system. It shows the o-ring.reddandanfireman wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 2:34 pm My cylinder no.4 leak off pipe is leaking. You shouldn't see the green o-ring when the leakoff connector is fitted correctly to the injector, so you have a problem there.
Why is it not fitted properly?
That will be your next step.
If the injector is blowing the clip off, you have a suspected faulty injector, time to do the Citroen C3 leakoff test to be sure.

That looks like the MAF wiring.reddandanfireman wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 2:34 pm

They often look like this but seem to function ok.

Thanks again Arfur, the picture was taken after removing the leak off pipe to see if the seal was split and to see how easily is came off really. Given that its low pressure it seems fairly secure, the green o-ring seems intact but could be worn. I'll pull it off tomorrow and have a look under a decent light to see if its beginning to perish, i've also got some mid sized cable ties which i was thinking of putting around it incase the black plastic has gone a little slack.
If i leave the car for a few days this seems to lead to the fuel falling back to the tank and leaving an air void so it doesn't want to start. I left it a few days over Christmas as i knew the battery was on its last legs, when I put the new battery on it wouldn't start, turned out the fuel was gone
anyway after a good minute of pumping the priming bulb it fired straight away as i was doing it I also noticed that leak off connection bubbling away.

Well today i did the simple job of refitting the leak off pipe after cleaning the o ring so it seated correctly, then after refitting i put a mid sized (5mm wide plastic) cable tie around it and pulled it tight enough so i couldn't see the green part of the o -ring and made sure it stayed seated squarely. So far so good, i pumped up the priming bulb hard and no bubbles or fuel came out, then fired up and no fuel came out then either.
So now its a waiting game to see if the area dries up, heat may affect the cable tie so i'll keep an eye on that aswell but given that the clip is plastic itself i'm willing to risk it. Also given that the car is now worth a packet of crisp at best. Cheers for helping out.
