Hi Fellow owners.
Thanks again for the much-appreciated inputs. To answer your questions and suggestions and bring you right up to date:
1. I cannot see a sensor on the radiator head.
2. The only recent work was: The car was recently MOT’d and new rear road springs fitted. Prior to that I fitted a new battery, but that was a few months ago now. No error messages prior to this.
3. All levels were fine at the time of the warning.
4. I have attempted a BSI reset today, but unfortunately to no avail.
5. I located a green temp sensor that I have changed.
6. Not yet managed to locate a blue sensor.
7. Thank you for the car Bio notice that I have corrected.
Kind regards.
Tony

DV6ATED4 9HX engine sensors on an RPO of 11404
Part 8 is a fuel temperature sensor, so that's not relevant here.
Part 3 is the coolant temperature sensor shown in the Part A
The two sensors look like this:
I am unable to see another temperature sensor on that engine from the diagrams.

Great! Thanks for the diagram!
I'll check out the air temp sensor next if able to access it ok.
Regards.

I don't have access to the DV6 circuit diagram but I do have access to the DV4.
There is no sensor in that like the one I described. There is only the coolant sensor and it's all by itself. The only other temp sensor is the fuel temp sensor (as mentioned).
I can only assume the coolant low warning goes off if the temp gets too high or the coolant temp sensor goes open circuit.
Seeing as you have replaced the temp sensor, have you inspected the connector pins in the engine ECU for corrosion?

Hi Ozvtr.
No I've not checked that out yet, but another option to try. Many thanks for your continued interest and suggestion.

Hi.
This issue appears to have gone away! I started the car about three weeks back now and the issue did not appear. Neither the warning message nor flashing temp. lamp came on. Subsequently since that time it has been fine. I can only put this down to (in my mind), temporarily faulty electrical connections or software? Thanks again to those of you who gave valuable advice while the problem was ongoing. Fingers crossed!
Kind regards.
Tony.
