Hi chevy790

Have a look a this LINK for a company to test and repair the delphi injector if the leakoff shows a problem.
Check injectors for leakoff, suspect faulty injector(s)chevy790 wrote:mileage 126609----------------car hard to start at times

Probably due to injector problems.chevy790 wrote:-if car sitting taking over and u rev its ommitting a very large amount of white smoke-------even when driving it takes turns of bursts of white smoke-
Its probably coming from an injector, excessive leakoff is overloading the return system.chevy790 wrote:he discoverd leak off connectors leaking diesel-he changed the rubber seals in all 4 and cleaned excess diesel---but there is stll diesel appearing in all 4 injector areas(not sure where its coming from)
There are several fault modes, each identified by a code. The code would be helpful to find out a bit more about the fault.chevy790 wrote:he ran computer scan-only faul;t showing was fault in injector 4-
I would not suggest this. Its potentially very expensive should they break and will make no difference.chevy790 wrote:he suggested i change it and replace glow plugs
You asked the right question, I would switch mechanics ASAP.chevy790 wrote:-i asked will this cure smoke problem-he said i hope so-which was not very reassuring
Do the leakoff test and be prepared to change from 1 and up to 4 injectors.chevy790 wrote:car driving 100% not missing but big smoke problem----any suggestions as to cause of this other than his solution-i dont think hes 100% sure
may be, but maybe not. You will need to look to see the oil in the turbo compressor side and poor emissions at the MOT.chevy790 wrote:he said maybe oil seal in turbo may be faulty as well
I would pick a different garage, they are not that difficult to work on, they just don't know what they are doing.chevy790 wrote:3 differant garages told me they didnt touch these cars as they where to difficult to work at-
Yes, seems about right for main dealer type of price. They will then say 'needs 4 probably injectors - at £500 each' which writes the car off.chevy790 wrote:citreon agency quoted me £150 to clarify what was needed to fix and cost involved-bit steep i thought
