My 2005 Citroen C3 has developed an intermittant fault, driving along nicely, usually when it going under 50, the car beeps twice, battery light comes on, then the car goes totally dead. Pull over to the side, switch everything on, then between 5 - 15 minutes later it starts perfectly and carries on. I've had the battery and alternator checked, all perfectly normal. As it's intermittant it's difficult to diagnose. Any ideas anyone......please

Hello

Is it a diesel engine as listed in the car bio you provided when registering?

The two beeps is telling you there is a fault stored, or at least a code has been attempted to store.

It sounds like a main power fault to the engine ECU. Like an intermittent bad earth.

You get engine failing to produce power and stops turning the alternator, giving the battery symbol for not charging. The beeps let you know there is something wrong.

I would reach for lexia to read the codes, the last ones stored could tell you why the engine stopped or if not, then it would be more likely pointing to a main power supply/earth to the engine ECU.

You may get a code out of an OBD scanner, but they don't cover as much as lexia does.
You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel :)

yes i agree with bove i would get the car scanned to see what faults are stored and then report back from there to see what the next best option will be :D
