Hi, I keep on getting an intermittent fault on my C3 1.4 hdi that the accelerator switch/pedal is faulty but before I want to replace this accelerator pedal, is there anything else that could influence this or add to the problem. When I get this error the rpm of the vehicle goes up to +- 1200 rpm and no acceleration control, have to switch the car off completely and then restart, like I said this is intermittent and does not happen all the time, just when one do not need it to happen in traffic.
Can anybody please assist, as I have to import this accelerator pedal from France which will take more or less four weeks for delivery and almost 2000ZAR later.

Hi Johan, you can try removing it, giving it a clean with some contact cleaner (from Amazon) - clean the connector and try to get it in to the assembly after removing it.

Removal instructions for the C3 Accelerator (TPS).

You can pick up a used one for much less than a new one from here on eBay :)
You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel :)
