thank you ronniecabers,
you are very kind!
yes, i know where to connect live and earth.
instead, about the three thin wires
i understood this:
as you can see in first snapshot, the green wire goes to the grey relais.
it is the wire that close the contact, to allow the live to pass (red thick cable) through the relay and reach the fan.
i verified that this relays works well, i have 12V in this green wire, and so also the live arrive correctly to the fan.
instead, the other two thin wires go directly to the fan, as you can see (the fan in this pic is not visible)
in the grey wite i have 12V , in the other 0
but the fan does not run.
i have the doubt that perhaps should be provided 12V also to the other wire (yellow)
to start the fan.
but i have pain to test this, because perhaps this, instead, is the wire that gives feedback to the ecu that the fan is actually running (the ecu then allow the air cond to start)
providing 12V to this wire, i have pain to burn the fan.
but i am not sure, if this wire is actually the feedback to the ecu, and so it is right to have 0V when the fan is motionless.

Hi ,
Without the wiring diagram from the ' haynes ' manual , I can't remember if there was a return to the ECU.....I don't seem to remember there being one , but I may be wrong (Manual went when I sold the car! )
If it was me , I would be tempted to try that yellow wire , I know , positevly , that I had the fan running out of the car ... It was not attched to the ECU in anyway.....but i''m not 100% surewhich wire I used....SORRY!

Finally, i tried , as you suggested me
I tried to give 12V directly connecting a wire from the battery to the contact corresponding to the yellow cable.
And the fan started to run!
So i thought to connect the grey cable (for that i measured 12V) in place of the yellow.
But in that way, the fan didn`t work.
I was surprised because i measured 12V on that cable (coming from the ecu)
So i tested again the voltage on that wire, and i read 0.23 V instead of 12V
Why this difference? because before i measured the 12V on the connector, with circuit open.
Instead, when the circuit is closed, the grey wire carries only 0.23 V, not enought to start the fan.
So now i wonder why the ecu does not provide enough voltage in the two control wires.
yellow:0V
grey:0.23V
You saw in my previous post that the wires near the fan connector were damaged...
could be that happened a short circuit, so now the ecu does not more provide power to this two wires?
I ordered the Lexia 3.
Do you think that it can help to find the problem?
Thanks!

Hello,
finally the LEXIA 3 arrived,
i installed DIAGBOX it on my windows 7 laptop and run the LEXIA diagnosis:
Diagnosis gave me this error code:
LEXIA gave me this:
(that is in Italian, but translated in english, the title is: Open circuit or short circuit to earth)
I searched the p0692 fault code on the web,
found this:
Any suggestion?
Thanks!!

What can i do now to solve this problem?Generic OBD Error Code Details for P0692:
Fan 1 Control Circuit High
What does this mean?
OBD Code P0692refers to
The Front Control Module (FCM) has detected a short to ground in the cooling fan relay 1 control circuit
Symptoms
Possible sumptoms of OBD code P0692
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light) - Radiator fan inoperative - Possible engine overheating
Causes
Possible causes of OBD code P0692
- Open or short cooling fan 1 relay circuit - Faulty low speed radiator fan relay - Faulty FCM
Any suggestion?
Thanks!!

You are posting SID804 (Diesel 8v engine) questions in the petrol questions part of the forum. The Petrol and Diesels have different cooling system control circuits, so expect plenty of confusion. This is one of the reasons petrol and diesel engine faults are separated on the forum.

UPDATE:
I changed the fan, as suggested, and it works,
i tried it with with actuator test
Lexia has cancelled the error.
