Hi all, thanks for having me here.
I recently bought a c3 and after a couple of weeks of owning it, it has become very hard to start when cold.
Once started it is very smokey (White smoke) until it is warm, every now and again it will start as it should but once running it will not rev for about 30 seconds.
I am assuming that it will be an injector fault but ask the question in the hope that someone will be able to tell me if it is or isn't for definite.

2003 1.4 16v HDi.

Thanks in advance.

Could well be an injector, considering the mileage, but they are quite expensive and I would suggest some testing before writing off injectors.

A leak-off test on the injectors is a good start, you can find out about leak off testing on the 16v 1.4 here ;).

Another option would be to read the diagnostic codes and check the common rail fuel pressure with live data, using the lexia clone tool.

If you suspect an injector, there are companies offering C3 Diesel injector testing (16v) on eBay.
