Hi guys
My 1.4 HDi seems to have a little issue with being reactive to throttle. It's atrange but it seems to fluctuate the revs on its own and doesn't seem to like certain speeds much. Any hints or tips?

If the air filter and fuel filter are within service schedule, I would connect up lexia and read the codes to get a better idea of the state of the engine and clear or repair any faults present, except the glow plug ones.
I have had a slightly rough idle, and had a go with a double dose of this diesel injector cleaner and it seemed to do the trick. It was only the idle and not certain speeds that you get.

The throttle pedal may be showing a fault, or just giving trouble. They are easy to swap out.

Thanks for the tips guys. I'll look into the Injector cleaner tomorrow. I'm told that the fuel filter would stop me getting to high speed if it was in need of a change. And it doesn't struggle getting to high speed
