Pin number 3 is missing a wire and pin, it just has a green wire stub sticking out of the connector, is this Citroën design or has this car been modified in some way to create an easy fix to a problem, I only ask because the car is very low on power and we tried to change the maf sensor but that hasn't cured the problem, so any suggestions are welcome, thanks

To test the MAF, just disconnect it. This will give the car its default values which will run better than a bad MAF. If the car runs the same, its not the MAF.

For a lack of power, check the basics.
Air flow through the air filter, the turbo spinning up. Then there is fuel to the engine through its filter and the injectors.

Does the exhaust blow smoke at any time? If so, what colour and when?

Ah yeah, I found a diagram on autodata confirming pin 3 aint used, just the little node of wire seemed suspicious was all, tried running without MAF before and no different, there were error codes on lexia regarding the maf sensor and the pre/post heat relay (codes p3008 and p1351 respectively)

Turbo is spooling just fine, plenty of torque low down, it's just missing all its power basically, Hoovered and cleaned the air intake and filter, checked to make sure it wasn't wet etc., EGR valve has supposedly been changed recently, and as far as I can see, no smoke is blowing, actually a lovely, smooth drive, just missing all the power of the previous 8 valver we owned

Your previous was an 8v and the current one that lacks power is an 8v too?

We have had an 8v and a 16v before, which, when they were going, would both accelerate eagarly through to the redline, this 8v one seems dead in the water straight away, to put it into context, the 8v is supposed to do 0-60 in around 13 and a bit seconds,ok, with a crap launch that could be 15 seconds, but this one took 18 seconds to do just 50 mph something is wrong to the point it's worrying to pull onto a slip road
