I have a 54 reg 1.4 HDI 8V that has a lack of power when accelerating and top end, almost as if there is no turbo. I have read that this can be a common problem with these cars.
The following have already been tried
Egr valve swapped
Vacuum control solenoid changed
MAF changed
Turbo changed
CAT tested
All the bits that have been swapped / tested are on my Peugeot 206 1.4 hdi (same engine) and it runs fine.
Any advice or suggestions would be much apreciated.

Hi kehlyr359, sounds like you have been busy swapping parts over.
Did you check for error codes? Same hardware for your pug as the C3 - lexia/acita box. The error codes can help identify a fault.
Lack of power at full throttle would point to a lack of air (air filter ok?) and/or a lack of fuelling (fuel filter ok?) or the accelerator pedal not travelling full deflection?
What state are the air and fuel filters? and what codes do you get?

You can blank the EGR valve off easily if you suspect if the EGR is not under proper control, one of these (from ebay) can save a fair bit of hassle.kehlyr359 wrote: Egr valve swapped

Disconnecting the MAF is a good way to diagnose MAF faults (other than diagnostic codes).kehlyr359 wrote:MAF changed
Bit of a job there.kehlyr359 wrote:Turbo changed

Havn't tried it with lexia yet, but standard diags that we have reported no error codes
Fuel filter and air filter have already been swapped as well.
i believe from the looks of it that it has had a turbo replaced / reconditioned before but previous owner said it has always been like it since he had it.
Have tried throttle pedal in peugeot and vice versa made no difference.

I am wary of code scanners that say no errors, on a car with as many miles and the years as yours, I would expect at least one code, maybe something trivial, but a code never the less.kehlyr359 wrote:Havn't tried it with lexia yet, but standard diags that we have reported no error codes
Live data may help, for instance fuel pressure. I know the 8v doesn't measure inlet manifold pressure directly, which is a shame because that would have shown turbo pressure.
Maybe the pressure developed by the turbo is being lost, at the inlet manifold or at the valves?
Maybe the injectors are a bit blocked, restricting fuel flow when its needed most?
Does the engine smoke under acceleration?

No smoke from engine under load or aceleration.
Was thinking of doing compression test and possibly injector leak off test (pain to do on this one)
Had read on other forum somewhere of injector fault causing this sort of problem

You have quite a few miles and injectors could be worn but without smoke, maybe not. Injector spray could be blocked? you could try a very strong (over dose) of diesel injector cleaner to try an clear the blocked injectors. Its cheap and not involved like compression and leakoff.kehlyr359 wrote: Had read on other forum somewhere of injector fault causing this sort of problem

Havnt tried injector cleaner yet. Was looking at idea of changing engine , current engine has siemens injectors several been looking at have bosch injectors.
just womndering what problems if any this wouild cause with swapping engine over

Like ECU control of the different injectors? I have not swapped injector makes before, but if you have access to lexia you wil be able to make and changes the dealer can do, so I don't foresee an issue.kehlyr359 wrote:Havnt tried injector cleaner yet.
