whilst stripping out the car, i noticed this wire hanging down under the passenger side glovebox
what is it, and where should it go?

Thanks for the pictures. There a fair few redundant connectors on the C3 and the Pluriel. Even higher spec models have spare plugs and sockets. If you find something that doesn't work after you put the car back together, you may have to remember where you saw the wire.
