Roof Button

If you need help with your C3 Pluriel, that seems specific to the Pluriel (like the roof), ask here. Engine and Transmission problem must be asked in the relevant topic for the problem. The Pluriel shares the same Engine, Gearbox, Brakes and Transmission as the other C3 models (see above for the correct section).

Did you know the Pluriel shares the engines, gearboxes, electrical, audio system, suspension, steering and running gear with the early C3?

Hello everybody.
First of all I'm happy for that I found forum like these.
I have pluriel from 1 month and I already broke the roof :D . In the beginning everything was fine, but after a couple time when I open the roof suddenly stop working. I think the all problem come from the button for the roof - when I try to open the roof it's doesn't meter which position I put the button - the roof stay open only like on the first position. When I try to close it, I rotate the button but nothing - the roof is still open, I must to push 2 or 3 times the button to close the roof. Also I can not open the rear window.

I'm not sure the problem is from the button, from the roof or some other else. I hope you will help me to find the problem.

* I didn't find the same topic in the forum and for that reason I make the new one.

Its probably going to be easier to try another switch than test the one you have if you don't know how to test it.

You can find the Pluriel Roof Switch on ebay.

The roof runners may be a bit seized and need stripping down and lubricating. Its easier to change the switch, so maybe do this first?

Well, change the switch first and take it from there :D

I have never had to change one, sorry, I don't know how its done, but if its like the other button and switches found on the C3 they are usually clipped into place.

It can be difficult to see the clips without removing the part which makes it more difficult.

My suggestion is to try to remove the plastic panel that the switch is mounted on, then you may be able to look and see how the switch is mounted. Then you may be able to work out how the switch is easily removed.

If you take photos on the journey, then you can add them when you find the solution.

I did look to see if I could find an image of the switch removed but the photos I see only show the control knob face on.

I don't know. You suggested the switch. I do know that some switches are locked out of operation if certain conditions are not met (like the roof position). So I could only guess if the roof switch is faulty that the computer has disabled the rear window switch to avoid a possible problem of things being able to be opened when they shouldn't be.

I have the same problem as you. I thought maybe the switch which I have removed for the time being.
To remove it you need to take the plastic cladding off.
Remove the rear view mirror and the sun visors and the clips.
Take the plastic lens out of the light and gently pry out the fitting then un plug it.
Next where the rear view was there is a screw which attaches the plastic to the roof, remove that.
Now you have to carefully pry of the plastic as it's also fitted plastic push fittings.
Go easy on it but it should just pop off.
Then you can release the roof switch.
I'm gonna try and test the switch and see what that brings up.
